The fundamental aim
of Nagendra Vijay Science Foundation
is to undertake research projects and programs
for analysing, testing, developing and implementing
various ideas of energy conservation, alternative
energy sources, appropriate technology for
rural applications, water harvesting, environmental
engineering that will have the potential to
make significant impact on everyday life of
people. It will also provide opportunities
to talented students, engineers as well as
socially-committed dynamics people by making
available to them all necessary materials,
literature and tools for the research projects
enumerated above.
As a no-profit trust, Nagendra Vijay Science
Foundation also proposes to conduct suitable
activities to effectively turn the new generation’s
curiosity about so-called incomprehensible
science into the satisfaction of knowledge
as to what science is all about. With this
charitable motive as well as social and nationalistic
view in mind, the following activities are
contemplated :
» Provide literature, posters, books,
infographics, slides, audio cassettes, video
clips and any other material explaining the
fundamental principles of science to schools/individuals
free of cost.
» Invite eminent scientists to give
lectures on various fields of science and
to answer question that may come up at the
end of the session.
» Publish braille version of scientific
articles and book for the blind yet inquisitive
members of our society who need not be denied
the benefits of NVSF’s activities.
» Create necessary infrastructure for
scientific experimentation, skywatching, environmental
studies, visits to scientific and research
establishments etc.
» Buy or receive as donation and distribute
instruments/gadgets that explain underlying
principles of science and also facilitate
experimentation individually or at school
level.
» Arrange exhibitions, film/video shows
and other programs to prompt and promote science-learning
at the community level.
The activities enumerated above will be absolutely
cost-free to the students and schools or other
invitees who benefit from them. At no stage
will they be asked to pay for the cost by
way of entry fee or whatever.
